SUMMARY:From Making to Selling: A Discussion with CultureWorks
DESCRIPTION:Makers Gonna Make: Next Steps + Structures for Creatives \nJoin us for another engaging discussion in a series designed to support entrepreneurs\, makers\, and enterprising artists in their journey from making to selling. On April 18th at our North Philly location\, we’ll be hosting CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia. CultureWorks is a management commons for arts\, heritage\, and creative communities — a platform of space\, human capital\, and services to help artists not only survive\, but flourish. With more than 200 members\, including 80+ fiscally sponsored projects\, they provide equitable access to management resources for both individuals and organizations\, the makers and preservers of culture. \nDuring the presentation\, they’ll explore the advantages and disadvantages of for-profits and nonprofits\, as well as demystify fiscal sponsorship. Also\, attendees will learn more about the resources they have to offer\, from buy-as-you-need consultation to back-office support – all of which helps you manage better\, smart\, consistently\, and more efficiently. In the latter half of the session\, folks will have the chance to meet one-on-one with CultureWorks staff to discuss their work and other specific questions they may have about services. \nSession is open to individuals and organizations\, the emerging and established! \n \n\n\nLet us know if you can attend!
