The Business Resource & Innovation Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia assists entrepreneurs in the for-profit and nonprofit arenas by helping them to improve their skills through public programs and individualized guidance in research and planning using database resources. We collaborate with many local and national agencies to provide specialized programs and expert mentoring. The BRIC has also been designated by the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent & Trademark Resource Center (PTRC), one of three in the state of Pennsylvania, and the only one in eastern Pennsylvania. As a PTRC, the Free Library of Philadelphia has a mission to support the public, inventors, and small businesses to find the information they need to protect their intellectual property.
