Join us for our industrial design course at NextFab with renowned industrial designer, Peter Bressler!
This 4-part course is an introduction to industrial design that will take you through the entire design process, including: research, feature analysis, need identification, ideation, concept sketching, modeling, prototyping, critique, and refinement.
Participants will design a new coat hook using an iterative process, while considering the goals of functionality, usability, aesthetics, ease of installation and manufacture.
July 15th : Introduction to industrial design, coat hanger project, ideation, product research, feature analysis, design criteria, concept sketching
July 22nd : Concept presentation, rough manual modeling, 2D and 3D design, prototype production
July 29th: Analysis, critique, correction, refinement, finishing
August 5th: Final presentation and critique
