Electro-Makers: Open Workshop

If you're interested in making, hacking, designing, programming, or simply learning more about Electronics, come join us for the "Electro-Makers" MeetUp!
We meet every-other Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Co-Working Space at NextFab in South Philly to work on our projects in group setting to share, learn, teach, (or sometimes just show off) . On any given week you're likely to see several of us tinkering with things like Arduinos, Raspberry Pis, NeoPixels (or other LEDs), PCBs, Servos, Breadboards, Solenoids, and a rat's nest of wires.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their parts and projects with them. If you're new to electronics and aren't sure how to get started, that's OK too! We're here to help get you going in the right direction!
A few important notes...
1. Bring your Parts & Projects
If you don't have a project in mind, we'll help you find one (Adafruit and SparkFun are great resources)! If you don't have supplies, we can loan you some (supplies limited), or we can show you the best places to buy parts (like NextFab, Amazon, Adafruit, SparkFun, Pololu, Addicore, Digikey, Mouser, etc.)
2. Bring your Laptop (if possible)
Not every electronics project needs a computer, but most would benefit from having one handy - if only for internet research. If your project needs a laptop and you don't have one, we have a limited supply of loaners to help out.
3. Membership with NextFab is not required (though it is awesome!)
The Electro-Makers MeetUp is open to the public. NextFab is a membership-based maker organization who has generously offered to give our club a home base. Our group members are here as guests and must abide by NextFab's codes of conduct and safety. In short, be excellent to each other ;)
