As an inventor, designer and thought leader in the area of optical glass, Tiffen’s work and vision have been critical to the evolution of cinematic aesthetics and technical processes. As one of the foremost optical glass designers in the world, Tiffen has applied his expertise to fields as diverse as aerospace, architecture, holography, computers and motion picture and still photography (earning him an Academy Award for technical achievement along the way).
