Presenter: Andrew Dahlgren has been working with Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC) on the Manufacturing Access Project to develop new strategies to connect designers, makers, and entrepreneurs to regional manufacturers. Over the past two years, they have learned about the growing number of entrepreneurs in the region and their desire to source regional manufacturing capabilities. In parallel, they have identified many barriers that have prevented entrepreneurs and manufacturers from working together. Manufacturing 101 is their first step to addressing and removing those barriers. Host: NextFab is the premier destination for makers, artisans, and hardware entrepreneurs. NextFab provides the tools, training, consulting, and capital required for innovators to turn ideas into products, and products into businesses. Moderator: Todor Raykov manages incubator and accelerator programs at NextFab, an entrepreneurship support center in the Greater Philadelphia area. In his role, he has invested in over 30 high-tech startups and helped them secure millions of dollars in funding from angel investors and venture capitalists.
