About the Course

Learn how to program hardware and create embedded systems with this introduction to Arduino, the popular open-source development platform. Experiment with inputs and outputs, and finish the class by building a simple theremin.

  1. In this class, our instructors will review what a Microcontroller is, and identify the physical components on the Arduino board while explaining the differences between Analog and Digital.
  2. Members will explore some fundamental coding concepts, such as functions, variables, and data types, and practice controlling LEDs, and trying out Serial communication.
  3. Create your own optical Theremin!
