Mark your calendars! The Fourth Annual Miracle on American Street Holiday Gift Market, bigger and better than ever, is coming to NextFab on Saturday, November 23rd from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In partnership with Olde Kensington Boutique,  shop from over 80+ local vendors, with festive fun for all ages! Find handmade, unique, and creative gifts for everyone on your list from a dazzling array of everything from jewelry and clothing to home décor and delicious treats. It’s the perfect opportunity to sip and shop while supporting talented artisans in our own community.

Get into the holiday spirit with fun activities throughout the day, including:

• Make-and-Take Activities: Create your own ornaments, personalize jewelry, and indulge in yummy s’mores (stations will be open throughout the event). Choose from:
  • Jewelry Stamping (free, all day): Take a swing at jewelry stamping in the NextFab lobby, and engrave a special message on a pendant. Add to a necklace, bracelet, or to your dog’s collar. 
  • Stained Glass Suncatchers (pay-as-you-go or pre-register): Unleash your inner artist with Project Joy Studio! Discover the magic of creating stunning stained glass suncatchers without the fuss. Their Color Cells make it easy – simply peel and stick your way to a beautiful masterpiece to cherish.
  • Fun with Foil: Bookmarks, Magnets, or Jewelry (pay-as-you-go or pre-register): Join us in the Jewelry Studio to learn how to make embossed foil bookmarks, magnets, and more. Explore this traditional technique in new ways as you use tools to shape thin metal sheets. You will learn how to create custom designs and finish them as a gift or keepsake.
  • Leather Card Case Wallet(pay-as-you-go or pre-register): Join us in the Textiles Studio to learn about leatherwork this holiday season! Create a simple card case wallet using premium leather. You will learn the durable saddle stitch and use leatherworking stamps to create a custom accessory. Make one for yourself or as a special gift!
    
  • Make your Own Ornament (pay-as-you-go, all day): Sponsored by Olde Kensington Boutique, choose from a variety of designs to create your own ornament to adorn your tree this year. 
• Live Demonstrations: Witness the creativity firsthand as local artisans showcase their skills in the NextFab makerspace. From turning on the lathe to watching the sparks fly in the metal shop, see firsthand how the gifts you’re purchasing get made.  
• Giveaways: Keep an eye out for festive surprises throughout the market!
• NextFab Tours: Explore the makerspace from noon to 4 pm and see their incredible makers in action.
• Food & Drinks: be sure to check out the food trucks outside or explore various sweet and savory treats from local vendors scattered throughout the market – from baked goods to decant hot beverages, hot melted cheese, and everything in between. 

Explore the newly branded, Wheelhouse building, a collection of dynamically creatively-conscious businesses nestled in the 1800 N. American Street building, including: 

• Sor Ynéz: vibrant Mexican restaurant committed to sustainability, tradition, and community, that offers delicious dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Don’t miss their food specials and retail table during the event!
• Keystone Bikes: a full-service worker-owned bicycle shop selling bikes, gear, and apparel for commuting and touring, plus repair services.
• Beaty American (City Ore): Philadelphia’s premier shop for architectural salvage, reclaimed building materials, and unique antiques.
• Resource Exchange: non-profit creative reuse store, art gallery, and workshop, featuring a variety of used fabric, lumber, furnishings, and more. Be sure to check out their Holiday Gift Thrift & Decoration Station during the event. 
• Center for Creative Works: a dedicated art studio that empowers people with intellectual disabilities to explore their creativity and develop their cultural identity. Be sure to shop their Holiday Open Studio art sale, while meeting the talented artists of CCW while sipping hot cocoa and shopping for one-of-a-kind original artworks and artisan products.
• Virida: unique boutique offering a curated collection of floral designs by Brkfst In March, vintage and handcrafted goods, and space for immersive events.
• Farm N’ Sea Pets: a local pet store specializing in high-quality, natural food and treats sourced from local farms and waters.
