October 7 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
Raising funding is one of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs looking to commercialize their research. If you’re coming from a university or research institution, you’re likely familiar with academic funding sources, but what other options are available to startup companies? And how do you go about winning the funding?
In this webinar, we’ll be talking with expert Dr. Greg Fridman, founder and CEO of AAPlasma. Dr. Fridman is a skilled entrepreneur who made the jump from academia and has successfully raised over $4M in non-dilutive R&D funding in grants and contracts and is sharing how he got there.
More specifically in this webinar, he’ll discuss:
- What different types of funding are available (federal/state grants and contracts, angel/venture, partnership, etc.)
- How to decide what types of funding may be right for your research/product
- Tips for winning/raising funding
By the end of this webinar, Greg will have offered some practical advice on how to tackle fundraising when transitioning from academia to entrepreneurship.
