GoBabyGo! Build-A-Thon

NextFab and local non-profit GoBabyGo! have partnered to build a better future for kids with disabilities.

Join us during Delaware Innovation Week to learn more about how you can make a difference by building cars for disabled children in your community. We’ll have live demos including a GoBabyGo! car build showing how each car is modified to fit the needs of each child, a CNC ShopBot machine in action that will help bring these kiddie cars into the future, and interactive activities with electronic circuits.

GoBabyGo! is a global non-profit organization that is focused on providing open source DIY solutions to children with mobility issues. A child who cannot explore their world misses out on key learning experiences that help them grow and develop. GoBabyGo! developed a low cost solution for these kids through modifying electric ride-on cars with items found in a hardware store. Like each child the cars are unique, adapted to fit their day-to-day needs and therapy goals.

This event will feature:

• A full GoBabyGo! car build
• A walk-through of a GoBabyGo! circuit and electronics basics
• A live CNC machine demo
• Tours of NextFab
• Light refreshments provided by The Mill
