Sculptural Weaving with Reed: A Workshop with Teresa Audet

In celebration of the closing of PLACING: The Windgate Arts Residency Program 2023, the Museum for Art in Wood and NextFab are proud to announce an afternoon workshop with artist Teresa Audet. In this exploratory workshop, students will learn several types of weaving with rattan reed. We will cover twined basketry, random weave, and hex weave. Everyone will get to try a few techniques and then combine them to create a sculptural vessel of their own design. No prior experience necessary.
