Wilmington, DE – NextFab, the region’s premier makerspace, is hosting an event to commemorate its first year in Wilmington, Delaware, to be held on October 11th, 2018 at our 10,000 square foot facility located at 503 N. Tatnall Street, Wilmington, DE – in the heart of our city’s Creative District.

“We envision this anniversary event to be not only the birthday for our Wilmington location but a celebration of our inclusion in the burgeoning Creative District and the start of our strategic partnership and the launch of our shared space with Delaware College of Art and Design,” says NextFab President Dr. Evan Malone.

The celebration will begin at 4:00 PM with a VIP Meet and greet for current NextFab members and special guests including various public officials, local business leaders, and members of the media. The event will open to the public at 5:00 PM and attendees will be able to take a guided tour of NextFab Wilmington to learn about its capabilities. In addition, the 500 block of North Tatnall Street where NextFab resides will be closed for the festival-style atmosphere and will feature a local craft beer garden, local food vendors, live local music, and interactive exhibits. All are welcome to come and celebrate #OneYearInTheMaking for NextFab Wilmington.

As part of the 1st birthday celebration in Wilmington, NextFab will be giving away a free month of membership to qualified attendees. This membership provides one person access to traditional tools and workspaces in addition to digital technologies and classes from NextFab’s staff. This membership is valid at the Wilmington, DE location as well as the South Philly and North Philly locations.
