Introduction to Metal Shop

Begin your metalworking journey with our “Introduction to Metal Shop” class, where you’ll learn to use many of the fundamental tools and techniques every metalworker should know. In this project-based class, you’ll learn how to safely operate various hand and power tools while forming a useful sheet metal tray. 

MIG Welding and TIG Welding

In both our MIG and TIG Welding classes, you’ll learn the art of bonding metals. For the MIG welding class, we’ll be using high voltage to create strong welds in mild steel, and in our TIG welding class, we teach you about the preparation, settings, and techniques needed to achieve effective welds in mild steel.

Torchwork I: Master the Flame

Through engaging and hands-on demonstrations using mild steel, brass, and copper, you’ll learn to safely operate the torch and apply new methods for joining metal. Torchwork empowers you to add a touch of finesse and artistry to your metalworking endeavors.

Introduction to Metal Forging

In this class, you’ll work with our propane forge, using tongs, hammers, and anvils to create a wall-mounted coat and key hook that you can hang and use in your home or give as a gift to a loved one!

Introduction to Metal Lathe

We’ll dive into the ins and outs of setting up, clamping, and using the metal lathe. You’ll get hands-on practice with basic turning, facing, and tapering techniques to create your very own unique bottle stopper.

Vertical Mill I

In this project-based class, you’ll practice your skills by machining a six-sided die in aluminum. The vertical mill adds a new level of accuracy to your metalworking, allowing you to craft intricate and refined metal pieces with ease.
